This trial is enrolling 20 participants with thoracic spinal cord injury to test the effect of epidural spinal stimulation (eSS) on sensory and motor function. eSS is an invasive technique that uses an implanted electrode placed next to the spinal cord to deliver electrical stimulation aimed at modifying spinal cord function. If included, participants will be randomly assigned to either undergo surgical implantation of an eSS device and receive eSS combined with standard rehabilitation therapy, or receive standard rehabilitation only for 6 months. Final testing will be performed after 6 months.
