This trial is enrolling 20 participants with spinal cord injury undergoing primary rehabilitation to test the effect of eccentric arm-crank training on arm and hand function. Eccentric training involves lengthening muscles under tension, for example a controlled lowering of your arm after a biceps curl until it is straight. If included, participants will be randomly assigned to undergo 20 training sessions using either the KREHA arm-crank device or standard strength training, over 12 weeks. Final testing of arm and hand strength will be performed after 12 weeks.
