This phase 4 trial is enrolling 50 participants with chronic spinal cord injury and type 2 diabetes to test the effect of semaglutide, a drug that helps regulate blood sugar by stimulating insulin release. If included, participants will be randomly assigned to self-administer a weekly injection of either semaglutide or a placebo for 24 weeks. There will be 7-9 in-person visits and 9-10 phone visits. Final testing for glucose levels and weight loss will be performed after 24 weeks.
