This trial is enrolling 10 individuals with upper motor neuron injury (e.g., from a spinal cord injury) to compare two types of Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES). FES is a technique that applies electrical stimulation through the skin to nerves to cause contraction of weakened or paralyzed muscles. Spatially Distributed Sequential Stimulation (SDSS) will be compared to standard FES. If included, participants will be randomly assigned to undergo 3 sessions of SDSS cycling followed by 3 sessions of standard FES cycling, or vice versa. Final testing of the effect of these methods will be performed after 12 days.
