This pilot study is enrolling 15 participants with chronic spinal cord injury to test the effect of abdominal Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) on bowel management time. FES is a technique that applies electrical stimulation through the skin to nerves to cause contraction of weakened or paralyzed muscles. If included, participants will receive FES applied to the abdomen during their regular bowel program. Final testing of bowel function will be performed after 10 weeks.
