This trial is enrolling 48 individuals with chronic, incomplete cervical spinal cord injury and long-term neuropathic pain, to test the effect of virtual reality walking on the severity of neuropathic pain. If included, participants will wear a head-mounted display to allow them to see the legs and arms of a virtual avatar from a first-person perspective. The home-based virtual environment will be visited twice daily over the course of 10 days. Each daily session will take approximately 30 minutes, with 5-10 minutes dedicated to the virtual walking experience. Each daily session will be scheduled a minimum of 4 hours apart. Changes in pain intensity will be measured up to 18 months after the therapy.
