About this trial

This trial is enrolling individuals with chronic incomplete spinal cord injuries (C1-S5 AIS C or D; > 6 months post-injury) to test the effect of using the Myosuit on walking ability in the home and community setting. The Myosuit is a soft, lightweight robotic suit which provides assistance for standing, walking, climbing stairs and sit-to-stand transitions. If included, participants will perform 5 one-hour training sessions at the study center either 1) with the Myosuit, or 2) conventional therapy without the Myosuit. Then participants will perform a 6-week training session at home, continuing either 1) with the Myosuit or 2) without the Myosuit, based on their initial allocation. Participants in the conventional training program will then also receive the Myosuit intervention. All participants will receive a Myosuit for home use at the end of the study. Final testing of walking ability will be performed after 23 weeks.
