This is a trial enrolling individuals with recent (less than five days) traumatic spinal cord injuries to test the feasibility of using a drug on recovery. The drug, Gabapentin, is commonly used in spinal cord injury to manage neuropathic pain. Different doses of Gabapentin will be administered for 90 days. If included, participants will receive either a low dose of Gabapentin, a high dose of Gabapentin, or a placebo for comparison. Final testing will be performed after 6 months.
