About this trial

This trial is enrolling individuals with chronic cervical (neck area) spinal cord injuries to test the effect of a technique that combines non-invasive electrical stimulation of the spinal cord with magnetic stimulation of the cortex (brain area). Researchers want to see if this increases nerve signaling in the spinal cord and thus improves arm and hand function. In in animal models, this paired stimulation technique strengthened spinal connections. If included, participants will receive brain stimulation by a magnet placed near the skull and spinal cord stimulation by electrodes places on the skin near the spinal cord. Final testing will be performed an hour after the stimulation is completed.
