The purpose of this study is to find out if the drug Buspar increases breathing capacity in individuals with chronic, high-level spinal cord injuries. Buspar is already approved and in clinical use to treat anxiety disorders. In earlier studies, Buspar was shown to improve breathing function in disorders other than SCI. This study focuses on breathing function during exercise. If included in the study, participants will randomly be assigned to one of two study groups: either taking Buspar pills and performing exercises; or taking placebo pills and performing exercises. Final testing, including breathing function, will be performed after 14 days.
