This is a trial to test the effect of visual feedback of brain activity (visual neurofeedback; NF) on spasticity after incomplete spinal cord injury. NF is a technique that displays brain activity in real time, recorded from electrodes on the surface of the scalp. Brain activity appears as 3 bars on a display monitor; the participant learns to control the movement of the bars, and thus may learn to reduce spasticity and improve control over either upper or lower limbs. Participants (both recent or chronic injuries) will attend five 2-hour NF-sessions for either arm or leg testing. Final assessment, including strength, grip or walking ability, number of spastic episodes, brain and muscle activity, will be performed after 4 weeks.
