This is a trial enrolling individuals with chronic cervical spinal cord injuries to test the effect of two types of stimulation on arm and hand function. One method applies electrical stimulation to nerves in the arms/hand (transcutaneous neuromuscular stimulation); the other method stimulates the spinal cord through the skin (transcutaneous spinal cord stimulation). If included, participants will receive neuromuscular and/or spinal cord stimulation five sessions per week for 1 year. Sessions last about four hours. Arm and hand function will be tested 12 months after the start of the intervention.
