This trial is enrolling up to 18 individuals with chronic cervical spinal cord injuries to test the utility of a brain-computer-interface device called Cortical Communication (CotriCom) System. If included, participants will undergo surgery for implantation of electrodes in the brain over areas that are important for speech and arm movement. The study will assess safety of the implants, and will measure how well participants are able to decode neural signals from intended arm movements or intended speech to provide control of software and devices. The study lasts 26 weeks.
