This is a rehabilitation trial recruiting individuals with chronic incomplete paraplegia to study downhill walking training (eccentric motor control) to improve walking ability. The focus is on improving function of hips or knees. Participants include those who have had locomotor (treadmill) training and those who have not. Both the trained and untrained groups will perform downhill walking training with a therapist 3 times a week for 12 weeks, and will be compared to subjects without a spinal cord injury.
